The Wesley Chapel community has existed as an acknowledged and stable entity since the early 1800s, and currently is home to 3,468 residents. Central to the area over the years has been The Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and the Wesley Chapel School. The Wesley Chapel Church (named for John Wesley) had its beginnings as a brush arbor around 1832, the new church under construction shortly thereafter.
Wesley Chapel is part of the Union County School System. The majority of the students in Wesley Chapel currently attend Wesley Chapel High School, Sun Valley or Weddington middle schools and Shiloh, Sardis Road, Weddington or Wesley Chapel elementary schools.
There are numerous home communities in the town Wesley Chapel that offer walking trails, clubhouses, golfing, wooded landscapes, private ponds and more!
