The Village of Marvin was incorporated on July 1, 1994. Bordering Mecklenburg County and South Carolina, Marvin is the westernmost municipality in Union County and is one of its fastest growing areas. Marvin presently consists of farms, churches, neighborhoods of single-family homes and a golf course community. The tax rates are low and the current zoning conserves the quiet rural atmosphere and quality of life that residents enjoy.
